1/2striped the dog

Just the other day, Maya and I went to the shop and got ourselves a whole load of socks. And from the stash, I made a socks doggie for her. She absolutely loves it and brings 1/2striped on all her car rides. There were some special requests for this socks doggie and we decided to put some up for sale at RM25, excluding postage.

Scraggly the cat

Yesterday Maya slept slightly earlier than usual. So, I decided to sew a socks cat for her. Introducing, the newest member in the family, Scraggly, the cat. :)

When the birds tweet

And just the other day, my mum made a few crochet flowers for my daughter. I kept looking at it and it suddenly struck me, why don't I incorporate it into a dress for my little princess. After mulling about my collection of fabric, I decided on this one.

It's all about cats

My daughter loves cats. While browsing through the online website, I stumbled upon this fabric and I so had to get it. After sitting on my shelf for two long months, I finally got down to making this dress for her. She absolutely loves the dress, well, thanks to the kitties. ^^

Experimental Tote

Recently I have been really interested in making totes and bags. I managed to get a hold of this fabric from Fabric Fanatics, and this is what I made.

Miniature Felt Food

I got bored the other night, so I decided to try my hands on felt food. Interesting and fulfilling, but not something I will do again in the near future. Too much concentration needed. You won't believe this, but this is no bigger than a 20cent coin. ;)

Lil Meow and Lil Maya

My little girl loves cats, and I have to admit that I am not a very cat person. In fact, I am allergic to them. I can break out in hives if I am to carry them. * sigh * Such is the predicament. Day in day out, she will take her flash card, with a picture of a cat on it, kisses and hugs it. My heart just melts when I see that. Soooo.... one fine day, it dawned on me, perhaps I can sew a cat for her. Heck.... why not. I gave it a shot, and I am glad, she loves it. :) It's a little bit quirky, but that's how things are in Maymieya. A pinch of love, a pinch of quirkiness, and whalaa!! I present to you, Maya's very own cat, CatStruck.

When I have a little more time

Nowadays, it's a little harder for me to blog like I used to. The easiest way to do so, is to upload pictures. I have decided to compile a few of them to share with my readers what we have been brewing at home. Most of these designs are designed by myself. But some of them are taken from tutorials at http://www.prudentbaby.com/ and http://habitual.wordpress.com
